Carlson 2021 comes with the power of IntelliCAD 10, the newly-released update to CAD platform that brings increased speed, new features, and a fast, efficient new user interface for Carlson users, and is also compatible with AutoCAD 2017-2021.
The 2021 release also delivers powerful new integrations with Carlson’s photogrammetry solution, PhotoCapture, as well as the ability to insert and manipulate BIM models in a drawing, as well as many other time-saving innovations and automated new features, as well as improvements to many major existing elements.
Drill and Blast allows for quick and easy blast pattern layouts, with real time 3D editing and instant feedback. Criteria such as distance from the highwall face, or comparison of design vs. as-drilled hole locations are analyzed the entire length of each hole and color coded warnings indicate if there is a discrepancy.

Carlson Precision 3D Hydro is a powerful 3D editing software for designing storm-water related systems. P3D Hydro allows drag-and-drop options for strategically placing pipes and culverts and for selecting headwalls and endwalls. Point Cloud Advanced contains all of the functionality of Basic plus the ability to extract features such as trees, hydrants and poles. It also allows the creation of solids and utilizes typical Carlson cross section alignments to extract cross sections and profiles.
You can select cloud data by color or elevation and create regions for isolating portions of a cloud for editing or extracting features. A notable feature is the ability to simplify a TIN and create smoother looking contour lines.
